Costa Rica from all perspectives

Here we are on a big tour of Costa Rica, with a rental car to be completely free to explore as it sees fit. There are a thousand possibilities of circuit, here is the one which we constituted:

The capital, the Caribbean coast, crossed the country by the plains of the north and Guanacaste then down the coast to the South Pacific before returning to the capital.

Duration of this stay: 17 nights / 18 days

Day 1 to 2

Departure from France, arrived in San Jose for a visit to the capital of Costa Rica. Vehicle recovery, preferably 4 x 4, to access sites with small roads that are not paved. Departure to the Caribbean coast, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca.

Day 2 to 5

Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and its surroundings. Black sand beach, national park, Cahuita and one of the most beautiful beach in the country, …

Day 5 to 8

We go up the Caribbean coast to join Tortuguero. Go to La Pavona where the pier is located. Guarded parking is not far from the site.
Between beaches and mangroves, a little paradise of nature.

Day 8 to 13

Crossed the country by the plains of the north, direction La Fortuna, Arenal, Monteverde, … A few days in this corner nature, adventures. 

Day 13 to 17

Head to the South Pacific coast to Uvita and then we will progressively return to Puntarenas. Through Manuel Antonio. The Pacific coast has a lot to offer.
The last day will be ideal for relaxation before departure for the airport which is only about 1h30 from our last place.

Day 18

Arrived in France.
